First coming in from the New York border, this section of the Susquehanna River is scenic through rural areas. There are wooded mountains that ride 400 feet above the water along the route, as well as small farms. There is a dam below the town of Susquehanna to portage around. This is probably the most scenic portion of the river in Pennsylvania.
